A wide variety of ballet techniques will be taught incorporating classical movements. This dance form places great emphasis on body placement and posture to strengthen each dancer. Music will include classical to modern pieces to allow for a number of dance interpretations. Using contemporary music jazz incorporates ballet technique in its high-energy moves, ensuring body placement and posture. Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer’s individual style and originality. Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own way. This type of dancing is energetic and fun.
The fusion of modern dance elements with elements of ballet. Contemporary takes form with abstract, unpredictable movement, speed and rhythmic changes and classical technique. Contemporary dancers have a choice of bodysuit with tights/leggings or bootie shorts with a tank top, all in black.
Is a style of dance created by merging ballet, jazz and contemporary dance techniques. Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics to inspire movements to express strong emotions the choreographer feels from the lyrics in the chosen song. Because lyrical dancing focuses on the expression of strong emotion, the style concentrates more on individual approach and expressiveness than the precision of the dancer’s movements.
Characterized by the clicking sounds of heels and toes using the floor for percussion. This American style was born in the roarin’ 20’s and places importance on posture to produce proper and powerful sound.

Hip Hop/All Boys Hip Hop
Hip hop is both a musical genre and a culture. Hip hop is a lifestyle that includes its own language, music, wardrobe style and style of dance.
Dancers will learn Jazz/Tap/Acro in these classes. Combo classes are ideal for families with many extracurricular commitments, and are looking for a class that provides a well rounded foundation in all three disciplines. Dancers will perform a choreographed routine for 2 of the 3 disciplines at the end of season.
Competition Prep. Class
Join this class to prepare for our annual competitive company auditions in May. Dancers will participate in a focused technical class where they will learn the foundations necessary to join our competitive company with confidence. Teachers will provide weekly assessments and help with goal setting.
